Several months ago I auditioned for Take Two’s Mamma Mia. I got the call to be in the ensemble and I hesitated. Do I take a risk and hope maybe a show closer to home will cast me or do I trust my gut and perform in this show that I’ve loved and been obsessed with since I was a little girl? Well no surprise I went with the latter!! I wanted this show to be special. It’s ABBA! And special it was. On one of the first rehearsals, Gary our fearless director said something along these lines: ‘Make this show special for you. Do something you wouldn’t normally do for a show.’ And I took those words to heart. I thought to myself it’s summer time and I’m ready to finally feel comfortable with myself and in my body. So I decided to try my brother’s diet he’s been promoting: Yoli Supplements. It was a four week program similar to a Keto diet. Long story short, I lost 10 pounds, and I couldn’t be happier.
I started to physically see a difference and mentally feel more comfortable and sharp in my body. Mamma Mia was special in itself, but it gave me an opportunity to learn humility and confidence in myself as an individual and team player.
None of this would have been possible without the support and positivity of the cast and crew and production team of Mamma Mia. Each and every person involved impacted me in a variety of ways that I will forever be grateful for. The friendships we made and the art we created will carry on. I am saddened that it is over, but I am so so grateful for the memories and for one of the best summers of my life. Thank you to Take Two Productions, the friends and family that came and saw the show and supported me throughout the process (I can’t thank you all enough ♥️♥️) and finally the amazing AMAZING cast and crew of Mamma Mia. I love you all so so so much and thank you for an amazing summer!!!
